New Parents
To Our New Collegiate Scholars:
On behalf of the entire staff of The Collegiate School of Memphis, we would like to extend to you a hearty “Welcome!” We are so excited to have you join our CSM family and welcome you into our community.
As professional educators, we fully understand that this change is significant for you – a new school, new classmates, new teachers, and new expectations. It is very important to begin your Collegiate experience “on the right foot”; therefore, read the information below very carefully.
It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of the following:
All new Collegiate scholars must attend the mandatory New Student Orientation Monday, July 29, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Collegiate. Please save the date.
Please study the Mission and Core Values of Collegiate before your first day of school.
Students should become thoroughly acquainted with the school’s Professional Appearance Policy and present themselves in proper uniform every day. Students should wear their Collegiate school uniform to New Student Orientation Monday, July 29.
All summer reading should be completed by the first day of school. At Collegiate we take reading very seriously – it is the key to our academic futures.
The first two days of school (Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8) lunch will not be provided – student pick-up will be at 12:00 noon.
Regular school days start at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Please make provisions to be picked up at 3:30 unless you are involved with a sponsored after-school activity.
Parents must complete their New Student Registration by following the instructions found in the New Student Registration Instructions file linked on the website (will be posted June 2024). New students must be registered before New Student Orientation on July 29, 2024.
During New Student Orientation, we will host a New Parent Orientation at the same time at CSM.
As a college preparatory, private, Christian school, we have outstanding teachers, superior curriculum, cutting edge technology, and caring, seasoned school leaders. Our school culture reflects very high expectations – both in character development and academics. At Collegiate you will probably work harder than you ever have before, but you will have skilled and caring instructors to encourage and support you along the way. The mission of your new school is to prepare young ladies and gentlemen for college success within a highly structured, nurturing, Christian environment. We are dedicated to this mission every minute of every day. As a new student, be very encouraged – you are now part of the Collegiate community, a community that is committed to excellence.
